§ Improvising Two Part Invention

• Practice moving with a distance of 3rd and 6th between the two voices.
• First practice 3ds and 6th separately. So practice playing a song together with all thirds.
• Then practice playing a song together with all sixths.
• Next, learn to combine thirds and sixths. So switch between 3rds and 6ths at appropriate places.
• Now, add accidentals when moving with the right hand, before reaching a note.
• Once we can do this with the right hand, also add accidentals to the left hand.
• Try switching between left and and right hand being the "leader".
